DETACHMENT is not INDIFFERENCE

detachment-2Attachment (to ideas, people, situations, etc.) doesn´t mean “caring”, it means RESISTING what is wishing everything was the way YOU WANTED it to be. And when you resist what is you are struggling against the entire universe. And that my friend, is quite a struggle.

Instead why don´t you try something different, just once. ´Cause as good ol´ Einstein said:

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Live your life for one day from the detachment perspective; and that doesn´t mean you´re not gonna care or you won´t get mad if an assface pickpockets you on the street or whatever.

It means that you have to do the work that needs to be done in order to accomplish your goals without being attached to the results. Trust the universe. Maybe you won´t get the job you really wanted. Instead of resisting that fact know that something greater is coming, just keep doing the work. But most importantly: BE OPEN to the INFINITE POSSIBILITIES.

When you don´t get what you want and you get pissed or disappointed and can´t get over it, your mind focus so hard on what is not that you don´t see and enjoy what you already have. And even worse, you don´t let the new, better stuff come in.

We must let go to let life in.

detachment-nothing-should-own-you

Long story short, detachment means to accept the present moment as it is, remaining open to all the new possibilities life will bring you. If you keep focusing on what “could have happened if…” you´ll remain blind to what the universe is trying to give you, which, most of the times is way better than your wildest dreams.

Happy weekend awesome people! Keep present ❤

Thank you!

  1. Very interesting post. I definitely think everything in life happens for a reason- that we’re guided on to certain paths. The part about focusing on missed opportunities and not seeing what gifts the universe is trying to give in the present is definitely something I can relate to.
Thank you for following me btw- I appreciate it. Looking forward to reading more from you:)

  2. Interesting and inspiring too.
As you said that Life and love are always moving and changing.
In fact, life may be full of external tragedies and when such had not left any visible and indelible effect on one’s own, then owe it to the teachings of Bhagavad Gita which is the miraculous remedy for all life’s complications.
